]]>Helloooooo buns! Welcome!
These last few months, among all the dresses, the shoes, the blog, happiness and joy there has been this small, little detail. I have to get a surgery operation (noooooooooo). The days have passed and soon I'll be posting pictures from the clinic's room .
For the history, I had this very same operation back in 2011 and I'm familiar with the procedure, the post-surgery rehabilitation and actually this whole thing appears like a bad Deja-vu in my mind. Mainly because back in 2011 I had to stay in bed for a couple of weeks and it took me like a month or so to be able to sit down or walk properly. So since February, when I got the "happy" news of going through the same shitty period again (in case nothing gets different this time), I've been pretty much preparing myself for a long period of whining, moaning and bitching in general (good luck Stergios & mom) During these months I've been trying not to think about it, I've been 'playing' the whole procedure in my mind so I get myself prepared, I've been thinking that I need to be mature about it and evaluate the health benefits after that etc etc. But this last week before the surgery I feel that I just need to express my fears and my worries about the whole surgery and take those thoughts out of my mind, share them with my family and set them free so they don't get bigger in my mind with no actual reason.
Aaaaand being in that state of mind I decided to pack my clinic bag with some pretty things that sparkle joy (you say it Marie!)
So, first thing first I needed a bathrobe and I've always had my eye on these linen ones by H&M! I got mine in a nice blue striped pattern that I love cause it's fresh and summery and I'm gonna use it a lot during summer! I love it! I got it in size L/Xl and it fits perfectly.
Then I needed a nightgown and not pajamas. I sleep in t-shirts so I had to buy a nightgown I saw a lot of them in the classic cotton versions but they weren't fresh or airy enough and anyway didn't make me happy. And then while I was at H&M looking for the bathrobe I saw this summer dress calling me from its rack The material is cotton but light and soft, it's airy enough and not very short! I don't care that it's not an actual nightgown, it's more like an 'I like it I wear it' situation. It makes me feel pretty and it's coming with me into the bed of pain .
I found few amazing bralettes as well, so I feel comfortable while moving around in a nightgown. This is an amazing romantic one and this mesh one I got it in both black and beige and they fit greeeeat! All by Monki, they have a 'Get 3 pay 2' thing running over their underwear collection these days so you might want to think about it! And considering my Bra size is EU 90F (US 40DDD, GB 40E) these bralettes fit quite well!
Also I have this summer rubber slippers by FILA . They are coming with us too.
And theeeeen I decided to take some of my favorite beauty products with me just in case I am able to move ahhahaah. No it's not the highlighter and my mascara.
I packed my all-time favorite facial Cleansing Balm ever. I found it in ASOS and I use it everyday. I love love love it! The brand is called Yes To and they have a lot of skincare products. I've only tried this one and I am very surprised of how a balm works that good on my skin and there is no feel of oilness after that. Basically you dampen the sponge that comes with it and then you dip it into the jar and scoop out a small amount of balm, you rub the balm all around your dry skin (face and neck), you massage your face gently and then you add water to the sponge so you rinse and wipe the skin clean! Smooth and moist glowing skin! So hopefully with a little help from my mom I will be able to do that while being in bed
Then I'm packing my day and night face creams. I use these ones by Avene. I'm very happy with their products. I know Avene since I had acne issues and the dermatologist suggested it to me.
I also packed a foam body lotion by Bilou .Bilou's philosophy is "All of our bilou products are full of “love & passion”. Unconventional fragrances to sweeten your day and make life more beautiful. All bilou products are made with lots of love and we take particular care to use good ingredients." I've never tried its products before so I will let you know how it goes! But it smells nice and it feels kinda fresh (just don't use a big amount of it). It's in foam form and when you apply it on your body its texture feels like body cream but lighter. I got the Snow Rose and the Cherry Kisses !
The clinic beauty kit also contains (just in case you go through the same thing at some point) baby wipes, towels, socks and underwear, my roll-on deodorant so I don't spray onto other patient's faces, toothpast-toothbrush, headband for bad hair days, rechargers and the tablet Did I forget something? Let me know below!
Also when your friends love you and are amazing people and when they are fans of your blog then they send the essentials for you to keep blogging and getting organized, even if you are in a hospital bed. That's the case for my baby Dimitra, my friend from far far away - California- who packed a box full of joy and love and sent it to me <3 <3 <3 You'll get to know Dimitra and her magic hands better later in a post of mine because she is SO SO talented (shhhhhhs that's all for now), but now I need to say that this girl has so much love in her heart which reaches you even that far away!
So Dimitra sent me a sunny notebook so I keep my thoughts while I'm offline, a sailormoon charm to keep me happy :D, "unicorn and flamingo and everything nice" paper clips so I don't get lost in my thoughts, a happy kitty pen to meow meow the best of my thoughts, an amazing set of 18 colors Journal Planner Fineliner Pens (and I didn't even have to tell her that I love fineliners) so I draw hearts and abstract symbols on my notebook (as I always do), a selection of the cooler stickers ever, Deadpool of course and my beloved professor Severus Snape (plus bows and cupcakes cause they are never enough). And of course a 'strawberries in dark chocolate' chocolove cause that's the best way to love a strawberry and me
Weeeeell, bottom line, I don't know how my mood will be after the operation. I will probably moan and complain because people don't change hahahaha! But now at some level I feel a little bit more optimistic. Let's see if clothing and objects that we like are just enough to brighten your mood in a hospital bed and make your staying a bit more bearable! Now, that's an experiment my buns

]]>Helloooooo buns!! Welcome!
Today it's the day after the Easter Day here in Austria, which means Egg Hunting, lots of colored eggs, bunnies and Spring!
Now tell me, would there be any other moment more iiiiiideeeal than this for me to present the next dress??? I say NO! Sooooo the Dress Hunting *wink* brought me a Multicolored Pattern Dress *wink wink* ! From me to you all, myyyyy hunbunnies! *wink wink wink*
So this is another H&M Dress ( I know, I love H&M and sorry I'm not sorry ).
It's from their Studio Collection which in general has amazing pieces. Now you might ask what their Studio Collection is. Well according to their campaign "H&M Studio is a collection of seasonal key pieces created by our dedicated design team. This spring, we invite you to a dusty desert adventure where utility styles meet decadent luxe. It’s a thrilling combination of sunset-ready statement pieces and effortless, yet endlessly chic, wardrobe staples."
Now, as you might notice on the site, the price for this dress (149euro) is a bit higher than the ones we are used to see by H&M. But once you get the dress in your hands you can tell that the fabric's quality isn't cheap, the stitching is very well-made and the pattern is mesmerizing. It's made of crêped chiffon and its design is very unique!
And let me tell you, I really hunt this animal print dress down haha!
I first noticed this dress back in March, when H&M presented their S/S19 collection to Vienna's central shops. Let me tell you, it was love on the first sight for me. The pattern is AMAZING, the animal print's colors are sooooo unique and the dress's cut is what I love for my sillouette, airy and light!
Soooo I got online to check the available sizes but the Dress appeared SOLD OUT in every different site I was logging in! I couldn't find it anywhere! I tried the german, the UK, the greek online store but noooo luck at all Then I went to all the 6 H&M stores I know around here and I managed to find only one piece in a smaller size, I think 40. Yes, of course I tried it, and because it's airy it did fit but looked bad on me so I didn't buy it and I was saaaad, but almost setting my mind off of it.
And theeeeen, after a week or so, while scrolling down H&M's page I saw the dress! Available! On size EU46 (US14 UK18)! Yeah it's not my size (EU48, US16 UK20) but I HAD TO try it, the design looked so airy and there was a good chance it fitted well!
You can see on the pictures how it fits, its length is perfect for me and the assymetrical hem's cut makes it look so cool and breezy when you move, which is everything I wish for a summer day!
I really love the neckline, it's deep but there is a small button on the middle of it so you can either use it or leave it open and loose. There are two pairs of fabric strings around the neckline so you can either bow-tie them and the dress has a ruffled turtle-neck, or leave everything loose and feel sexy, breezy and all There are more of those fabric strings around the dress on such spots that you can actually adjust or alter dress's shape and design! Very cool if you ask me! Well done H&M's Design Team! <3 <3 <3
Now, you still need an underdress with this dress so I used this one I bought by H&M (in size XL), and I'm very happy with it.
Another fact is that this dress is such a statement piece by itself that you really don't need to wear earrings, necklaces or bracelets! I tried a thin leather braided belt on it but it didnt work for my body, or at least that's what I think But I really don't mind wearing just the dress and no accessories at all. Maybe a cocktail golden ring? And if you ask me I absolutely adore this dress's pattern and colors matched to my Neon Pumps!
Actually, I need help with this one.
Me? I love the pattern and the design, and the feeling wearing this dress is veeery pleasant BUT NOW
a) my mom and b) Stergios aren't that excited about the way it fits.
a) My mom was excited when she saw this dress online (yeah the model looks amazing wearing it, I know) and she even wanted to pay for it, and she was looking for it online non-stop just in case it pops on an H&M site. Now that she saw me wearing it she feels less enthousiastic hahaha. There is something that doesn't fit that good on me but she can't tell what.
b) Stergios at first was like "oh well" and when he saw the price was more like "uhm are you 100% sure and excited that this is the one you like?" hahaha
And here it's me now having second (and third and fourth and 149th) thoughts about it
What do you think??? I'm actually sending SOS messages here Please let me know what you think (good or bad) by leaving a comment bellow! Do you like it or do you think I should keep looking?

]]>The Neon Pumps meets The Perfect Dress Project keeps going on and this time I wanted to try a 'ton sur ton' outfit. So, yellow it is!
This is another H&M dress! I bought it online in size 48 (I couldn't find it in a psysical shop). For some reason H&M, at least here in Vienna, seems to keep their bigger sizes just online. ANNOYING. Because I have to order the dress, wait like few days for it to arrive (their orders arrive very very fast though) and then in case it doesn't fit me I have to return it. Pretty much a week for me just to try a dress... Me don't like...Also this time I was a bit confused cause I never got a confirmation email which usually comes couple of minutes after you place the order (I ordered this one on a Friday evening) so I had to email them, try to reach them over their chat-window in their site -which you can use only if you speak German- and finally call them (the girl didn't speak english but was super nice) in order to get my answers. Phew...
Aaaaanyway...To the happy stuff now This Yellow Dress has buttons - yay, pockets, and 3/4 length sleeves which are my most favorite sleeves ever . Also, its flared skirt's length is veeeery flattering.
BUT you definitely need a chemise, (I bought this one from H&M in the size XL, beige, and it fits great) because the dress is kinda see-through especially under the sun
The fabric is veeeery pleasant to touch, very airy and follows the body's movement. I really like its quality. The color is amazing, fresh, summerish and sunny! I love how it fits me, I like the elastic-band waist, I believe it looks nice on my waist. I would ADORE it even more if there weren't any pockets on the upper part for this specific event. It's ideal though for a casual outfit, I love it.
I accessorized this outfit with some pearls (they aren't real pearls, don't get excited ) and a red lipstick! I was looking for a statement necklace or huge pair of earrings in a yellow hue but unfortunately I couldn't find anything while I was walking around today.
Backstage:
This week I tried couple of faaaaaancy dresses in C&A and I would say that I kinda like the green one, what do you think?? I sized down and it looked way better on the upper part I'm still bit concerned though of the tattoo+priest situation if I go bare- arms .
*Thank you Lady Butterfly for taking the picture for me!
This was my Yellow Dress! Next week another one is coming and let's see how it goes
